Charles Abourezk is a graduate of the University of South Dakota School of Law and is an attorney practicing in Rapid City, SD. Mr. Abourezk is a current Supreme Court Justice for the Rosebud Sioux Tribe, a retired Justice of the Oglala Sioux Nation Supreme Court. He is a Board and faculty member at Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College. Mr. Abourezk was the Permanent Representative to the UN Commission on Human Rights for the International Indian Treaty Council, 1979-1983, and is a longtime activist in the struggle for the human rights of indigenous people.

 
 

 

 

 

George Nelson joined the Abourezk Law Firm as an associate attorney. Nelson, who was admitted to practice in South Dakota in 1986, has extensive trial experience as well as experience in business and contract law, gaming and corporations.
